Adventurous Architecture is an architecture practice, headed by Theodore Dounas, a chartered architect and academic. The office has operated with various forms in Greece, China, Scotland, UK. Our projects have been awarded in Europe and Asia since 2001: The inaugural project has been the ‘Screen’s urban reflection’ a project awarded at ‘the Balkan cities for the 21st-century competition’ in Belgrade, Serbia. The same project was also included in the best 100 digital projects worldwide in the FEIDAD digital architecture competition in Taiwan, RoC . It set the wider adventurous agenda: working with computation in Architecture, experimenting with structural systems, architectural form/space and with urban configurations, in creating high quality architectural solutions.
Since 2001, Adventurous has not stopped exploring, experimenting and delivering quality architecture to clients, gathering in the process more than 10 academic and architecture awards.
The flavour our clients bring to the projects is central to the manner in which we engage with them and the project. Using computation as much as possible we are able to keep a lean size while producing high-quality architecture. Our usual modus operandi is to optimise use of information technology as possible for the operations of the office. Our base(s) is in Aberdeen, Scotland UK and Thessaloniki Greece in Europe, while our Asian epicenter is in Suzhou, China. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
